The New York State Cannabis Control Board on Monday voted to approve a legal settlement that may soon clear the way for more than 400 legal cannabis licenses to move forward.
The board OK’d the settlement in the lawsuit led by disabled veterans Carmine Fiore, William Norgard and Steve Mejita over New York state’s Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensaries program, which has awarded legal cannabis licenses to people with criminal records for past cannabis offenses.
